The following tips apply to database searching in general.  For tips on how to use Academic Search Premier or Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection, go to the database help section.

Library Databases

When you need more in-depth knowledge about a medical topic, journal literature is usually the best choice. Journal literature provides both current and specific information on a variety of topics. Journal literature is usually found in a database or index.

Searching Tips for Academic Search Complete:

To search multiple databases at once:

1. Go to Academic Search Complete

2. Select Choose Databases

3. Check boxes for Health Source - Consumer Edition, Health Source - Nursing/Academic Edition, and MEDLINE 

(note, box for Academic Search Complete is already checked)
