Voyager Library Catalog: Getting Started

When do I use the Voyager Library Catalog?

Use the Voyager Library Catalog to locate print resources and electronic books.  While the catalog also points you to online journals, using the eJournals database, Gateway, is a better choice.

When you use the Voyager Library Catalog, you are searching the holdings of all UH System Libraries.

How do I access the Voyager Library Catalog?

To access the Voyager Library Catalog, go to the Health Sciences Library web site

Click the Voyager Library Catalog link in the left side bar

How do I search the Voyager catalog?

You can search the Voyager catalog by keyword, title, author, subject, and more.

 

What do the results mean?

At the Health Sciences Library, print books are either in the Main, Reference, or Reserve collections. 

  • Here's what you will see if the book is in the Main collection:

 

 


 

 

  • Here's what you will see if the book is in the Reserve collection:

  • Books in the Reserve collection, may be checked out overnight by JABSOM students and faculty only. 
  • The book is due the following day, two hours after the library opens. 
  • You may borrow up to 3 reserve books at a time.
